CALL 911 IF YOU ARE HAVING AN EMERGENCY
ABOUT US
The Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad provides emergency medical and rescue services in Tewksbury Township, NJ and the surrounding communities as a regional mutual aid partner. We respond to a wide variety of calls for help, including medical emergencies such as stroke or cardiac arrest, and traumas caused by car accidents, sports injuries, fires and more. Since our founding in 1990, our members have consisted exclusively of volunteers -- neighbors helping neighbors in their time of need. Day or night, regardless of the weather, we are here for you. And you will never receive a bill from us.
In addition to providing 100% free emergency medical and rescue services, our EMTs, drivers, associates and cadets are active in the community, often participating in parades and school and community events such as STEM Night and Trunk or Treat. The squad also hosts educational classes, including basic first aid for Boy and Girl Scout badges.
TFARS operates six emergency vehicles, including two ambulances, a rescue truck, a chief’s vehicle, a Chevrolet Suburban first responder vehicle and an off-road vehicle.
